Many patients assume they need the tooth taken out, when in fact there may be better options available to save and restore the tooth .
If oral surgery is determined to be the choice, we will discuss replacement options for the tooth or multiple teeth. We will create a treatment plan. Many times we need the dental lab involved to provide a temporary replacement of a tooth ready before the surgery is scheduled to meet the patient‘s aesthetic and functional concerns.
We will evaluate the general medical health of the patient and decide on the best time of surgery and surgical setting, especially if the patient is interested in having sedation or general anesthesia.
We can often provide surgery and tooth replacement on the same day that the patient calls, but sometimes it is beneficial for the patient to have a medical issue addressed first.
We strive to provide the best comprehensive treatment to treat the patient, not just the tooth.
